Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Peer Review Policy
    JSSCI adopts a double anonymous (double-blind) peer review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and objectivity of scholarly publishing.

    Review Process
    Initial Screening
    All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial office to assess their relevance, originality, and compliance with submission guidelines.

    Double Anonymous Peer Review
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

    The identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and

    The identities of the reviewers are concealed from the authors.

    Evaluation Criteria
    Reviewers evaluate submissions based on:

    Originality and scientific merit

    Methodological soundness

    Clarity and organization

    Relevance to the journal’s scope

    Editorial Decision
    Based on reviewers' feedback, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    Accept

    Minor revision

    Major revision

    Reject

    Final Checks
    All accepted manuscripts are subject to final checks, including language editing and formatting, before publication.

    Review Timeline
    We aim to complete the peer review process within 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and responsiveness.

    Ethical Considerations
    JSSCI follows the COPE Guidelines to uphold the highest ethical standards in peer review.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Preparation

Authors submitting to the Journal of Statistical Sciences and Computational Intelligence (JSSCI) must ensure that their manuscripts conform to the following structure and formatting requirements:

  • Font: Palatino Linotype, 10 pt size, with 14 pt line spacing.

  • Sections: Manuscripts should contain the following:

    • Title

    • Author Names and Affiliations

    • Abstract (200–250 words)

    • Keywords (5–8 relevant terms)

    • Introduction

    • Methodology

    • Theoretical Results

    • Application (Results Presentation)

    • Optional: Results and Discussion

    • Conclusions

    • Author Contributions

    • Funding Statement

    • Data Availability

    • Acknowledgments

    • Conflict of Interest

    • References

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted online via the JSSCI Submission Portal.

Figures and Tables

  • All figures and tables must be cited in the text (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1).

  • Figures should be clear, high-quality, and labeled properly.

  • Tables must have descriptive captions.

Equations

  • Equations should be numbered sequentially.

  • Mathematical symbols and variables should be defined when first introduced.

Referencing Style

  • References must be listed in numerical order as they appear in the text.

  • Use square brackets for in-text citations (e.g., [1], [2,3]).

  • Please follow the style of the IEEE journal.

 

Ethical Requirements

  • All authors must disclose conflicts of interest.

  • If applicable, authors must include statements on funding and data availability.

Repository Policy (for JSSCI)

Repository Policy
The Journal of Statistical Sciences and Computational Intelligence (JSSCI) allows authors to deposit all versions of their work in institutional, subject-based, or general-purpose repositories. This includes:

  • Pre-prints (submitted version prior to peer review)

  • Post-prints (accepted version after peer review)

  • Published version (Version of Record)

There is no embargo period for repository deposits. Authors are encouraged to include a citation and link to the journal’s version of record on the JSSCI website.

This policy complies with open access and repository standards required by indexing services and funding agencies.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
