Peer Review Policy
- Overview
The Journal of Statistical Science and Computational Intelligence (JSSCI) operates a rigorous, transparent, and ethically grounded peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and scientifically sound research. The journal adheres to internationally recognized editorial and publication standards consistent with best practices.
- Type of Peer Review
JSSCI employs a single-blind peer review system:
- Reviewers remain anonymous to authors.
- Authors’ identities are visible to reviewers.
- Editorial decisions are made independently of institutional, geographic, or personal bias.
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant subject area.
- Initial Editorial Screening
All submissions undergo an initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor to assess:
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Originality and contribution
- Compliance with formatting guidelines
- Ethical compliance
- Similarity check using plagiarism-detection software
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards may be desk-rejected before external review.
- Reviewer Selection and Responsibilities
Reviewers are selected based on:

- Absence of conflicts of interest
Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based feedback
- Complete reviews within the designated timeframe

Manuscripts are assessed according to:

- Relevance to statistical science and computational intelligence
- Ethical integrity and reproducibility
- Editorial Decision Process
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may be:
- Accept without revision
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
For revised submissions:
- Authors must provide a detailed response to reviewers’ comments.
- Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
- Ethical Standards and Publication Integrity
JSSCI upholds strict ethical standards, including:

If necessary, JSSCI may issue:

- Retractions
- Expressions of concern
in accordance with international publication standards.
